Membership
The members of the Society shall be divided into the following categories:
Ordinary Member
For all registered dentist (local and overseas) and membership fee is HK$600 annually. Members in this category can enjoy the full range of members' benefit and have the power to vote at the Meeting.
Affiliated Member
For all other dental personnel e.g. dental hygienist, dental surgery assistant and dental technician. They shall have no voice in the management of the Society, shall not be eligible to hold office or vote at any Meeting. The membership fee is $200 annually.
Student Member
For all students in the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. They shall have no voice in the management of the Society, shall not be eligible to hold office or vote at any Meeting. The membership fee is $200 annually.
Life Member
For all ordinary members on application and subject to the approval of the Council upon payment of a sum i.e. $6000. Any payment made under this section shall under no circumstances be refundable. A Life member shall then be entitled to all the powers and privileges of Ordinary members without paying the annual subscription.
Honorary Member
The Council shall have the power from time to time to invite any person or visitors of distinction, or former members of the Society who have rendered meritorious service to the Society as an Honorary member. An Honorary member shall then be enjoyed the privileges of Ordinary members but shall have no voice in the management of the Society, shall not be eligible to hold office or vote at any Meeting.
